Connetics was established in 1996 through the corporatisation of Christchurch based company Orion and the separation of its Contracting Services division. Today, we remain a 100% owned subsidiary of Orion, which operates a fully contestable market for the provision of construction and maintenance services.

Connetics’ core business is the construction and maintenance of overhead and underground lines and associated equipment provided for the delivery of utility services. We also operate a Design + Engineering consultancy and a Supply + Logistics division. These complementary business units make Connetics a true turn-key service provider for utility network operators, local authorities, developers and commercial/industrial customers.

The business places an emphasis on ensuring high quality and safe outcomes, underpinned by quality and safety management systems which are accredited to Australian and New Zealand standards.
