Our 5 Principles
The Way We Do Business
Here at Connetics, we believe that sustainability goes hand-in-hand with our mission to deliver energy solutions that power a cleaner and brighter future for Aotearoa
We're proud to be part of a purpose-led group where sustainability is crucial part of the way we do business, that ensures long-term resilience and positive impacts.
To help us keep sustainability front of mind, we’ve developed five enduring and versatile sustainability principles - these are our '5Ps'. These 5Ps are a simple check to make sure we’re heading in the right direction for our environmental and social responsibilities, as a business and as an electrical solutions provider.
Our 5Ps are:
Act as kaitiaki (guardians) of the environment by reducing the impacts of our operations, and, where possible, take opportunities to enhance the natural environment.
Engage meaningfully with communities and our people, ensuring that all business practices address their diverse needs and expectations.
Use resources thoughtfully, invest sustainably, and enable a resilient energy future through responsible long term economic decisions.
We are committed to upholding the mana of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and the principles of reciprocity, active protection, partnership, equity, and equal treatment.
Ensure high ethical standards in our supply chain and workforce by sourcing responsibly, respecting human rights, and providing fair, safe and respectful working conditions throughout our business
Carbon Reduction Inititatives
As part of our sustainability commitments, Connetics is playing our part by reducing our own carbon emissions. As part of this
process we have used Orbviz to help us visualise our emissions data. You can view our data through the interactive site below (please note this is best
viewed on a desktop or laptop).
Connetics measures carbon emissions in scopes as per the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Protocol. Select the link below to learn more.
Connetics is committed to reducing operational GHG emissions by 50% in FY30 and 80% in FY50, protecting resources for the future and enhancing the quality of our environment. Select the link below to learn more.
