In early April, the New Zealand 2021 IES Lighting Design Awards were held virtually. We would like to congratulate two of our Senior Design Engineers on receiving commendations for their respective design submissions.
Robert St-Denis received a commendation for his design of the CNC Motorway Feature Lighting in Christchurch. The client brief was to showcase the side panels of the bridge in a way that would make each bridge look like the gateway to the 'New Christchurch'. Part of the requirement for the lighting was to be dynamic and colour changing to suit occasional events. Thanks to Robert's innovative design and installation by Connetics, we completed yet another great project in the Garden City.
Bart RIVES also received a commendation for design work that was completed prior to Bart joining Connetics. The Grey Street Park project in the Wellington CBD was completed for Stephenson & Turner Consultants. Bart's project included creating a lighting design that created an inviting and people-friendly space.
The IES Lighting Awards program provides a unique opportunity for public and industry recognition of professionalism, ingenuity, and originality in lighting and luminaire design. This program is not a competition, but rather highlights excellence in lighting.
