We build the infrastructure that communities across Aotearoa depend on – and we live in those same communities. Looking after the environment we work in as kaitiaki is part of how we operate, and part of powering a cleaner, brighter future for the people we serve.
These five principles guide how we think about environmental and social responsibility across the business. They run through everything we do – from how we source materials through to how we show up in the communities we work in.
Protect our planet Act as kaitiaki of the environment by reducing the impact of our operations, and where we can, take opportunities to look after and improve the natural world around us.
Partner with our people and communities Work alongside our communities and our people, making sure our business practices genuinely reflect their needs and what matters to them.
Prosperity through responsible long-term decision making Use resources thoughtfully, invest in ways that last, and make decisions today that support a resilient energy future for the long run.
Pledge to Te Tiriti Uphold the mana of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and the principles of reciprocity, active protection, partnership, equity, and equal treatment.
Purposeful ethics and integrity Hold ourselves to high ethical standards across our supply chain and workforce – sourcing responsibly, respecting human rights, and making sure working conditions are fair, safe, and respectful throughout our business.
We’re committed to reducing our operational greenhouse gas emissions by 50% by FY30 and 80% by FY50. That covers all Connetics depots, project sites, and company vehicles – across scope 1, scope 2, and significant scope 3 emission sources.
Our FY26 carbon reduction plan focuses on five areas: fleet transition and efficiency, EV infrastructure, supplier engagement, waste management, and building energy use. We measure everything we can collect accurate data for, and we publish our emissions and progress publicly through OrbViz.
The frameworks, certifications, and partnerships that hold us accountable.
