Jason has spent more than 30 years in the electricity sector. He chairs our board and holds directorships across Orion, First Gas Group, and CentrePort – bringing deep experience in energy infrastructure, governance, and strategic investment.
Nigel leads the Orion Group, which includes Connetics. He joined Orion after 19 years at Powerco, nine as Chief Executive of New Zealand’s second-largest electricity distributor. His background spans economics, law, and senior roles at Transpower and BNZ.
Matt spent 20 years as CEO of Eastland Group, leading a portfolio across regulated electricity distribution, geothermal generation, ports, and logistics. He brings energy sector governance experience across multiple EDBs, including Top Energy and Marlborough Lines.
John has been with Connetics for over 29 years, working across the business before being appointed Chief Executive in 2021. A chartered accountant by background, John leads our team of over 400 people delivering energy infrastructure across Aotearoa.
Izzy joined Connetics in 2024 and leads Connetics’ strategy and growth activities, positioning the business for long‑term success in a changing energy market. Her focus is on strong partnerships, disciplined growth, and making sure the strategy becomes measurable action.
Graham has been with Connetics for over 27 years and lead our field operations – the on-the-ground crews who do the physical work across our projects. His focus on safety and consistent delivery makes sure our field teams get it right for our customers and communities, every day.
Tracy leads our enterprise risk, health and safety, technical regulatory, and quality functions. Tracy brings executive experience across high-risk industries, with a focus on building a proactive safety culture where people look out for each other – and where safety is built into how we plan, work, and perform.
Stephen has been with Connetics since 2019 and leads our finance, fleet, sustainability, supply & logistics, and IT. He makes sure Connetics has the commercial strength to back up what we promise – and the systems to deliver on it.
Pete leads our design, engineering, project management, and commercial delivery teams. With extensive experience in programme delivery, he works closely with customers and operational crews to make sure projects are planned and delivered safely and efficiently – from concept through to completion.
Mark leads our people strategy, from talent acquisition and workforce planning through to leadership development. His role is central to making sure Connetics attracts, develops and keeps the people we need to deliver for customers over the long term.
Ben leads Connetics’ Wellington based operations, as well as our expansion into solar and emerging energy markets. He brings a strong background in large-scale infrastructure delivery, with a focus on safety, productivity, and making sure programmes are delivered reliably and to a high standard.
